A journey to tell

Welcome to my last 8 years of professional work

Experience Matters

Over the past eight years, I’ve gone from having limited knowledge but strong confidence in myself and from the company, full of ambition, to being able to learn, pass that knowledge on, and manage both projects and people—whether new colleagues, more experienced ones, or external collaborators

Passion fuels every shot I take.

Work

Scan-to-BIM Specialist (2017-2019)
  • I learned, tested, implemented Terrestrial Laser Scanning technology

  • Revit has become my favorite software. I wanted to do everything in it. Architectural, Structural, and MEP part, I learned all of them, step by step.

  • I learned that accuracy requirements differ from one client to another, and that it’s best to define the project’s goal already during the bidding/quotation phase. But it was really great when we approached our clients and presented the LOD levels in a simple, easy-to-understand way

My Journey

Where I learned, failed, successed.

3D Scanning Department Manager (2019-2021)
  • I led projects both in the field and in the office, including the restoration of historical monuments, as well as 3D modeling projects for industrial buildings, covering architecture, structural elements, and MEP systems.

I maintained direct communication with clients and provided consultancy on the most suitable approach for their projects, ensuring our collaboration was mutually beneficial (win-win)

  • I implemented project tracking methods, which led to a centralized overview of the time spent across different projects. This allowed us to better understand the various client requirements and prepare more accurate quotations in terms of both time and cost.

  • I also monitored the team’s skill levels and proposed dedicated learning time, based on project needs and market trends.

  • Each project was reviewed by me, and whenever mistakes were found, they were flagged and communicated to the responsible team members. I always aimed to explain the reasoning behind the required approach, while also remaining open to listening to others’ opinions. I encouraged colleagues to test and explore solutions, even when we didn’t always reach the expected outcome.

  • During this period, I also introduced drone flights into our workflow, using both photogrammetry and LiDAR sensors.

Head of LiDAR & Photogrammetry Department and Technical Manager (2021-Present)
  • I implemented topographic surveying workflows using LiDAR sensors, both aerial and mobile.

I led projects not only in the Scan-to-BIM sector, but also in topographic surveying projects, where the final deliverable was a topographic plan, most often required for obtaining the necessary construction permits/approvals.

  • My main responsibilities were to organize the team both in the field and in the office in order to successfully deliver the projects. I also monitored the profitability of each individual project. In addition, I personally handled the processing of the field data before it was handed over to the office team for the final stage.
